Before It Has a Name

Born in northern Italy and raised between the Dolomites and Lugano, Giorgia Bevilacqua studied fashion design in Milan before developing a painting practice shaped by movement, contradiction and emotional intensity. She currently presents her work in Paris.

Giorgia Bevilacqua’s paintings emerge from states that resist containment. Rather than depicting a subject, they register impulses: desire, frustration, restlessness, attraction. The canvas becomes a surface where intensity can remain unresolved.
